Role overview

As a Senior Software Architect for our TrustX SaaS platform, you will define, evolve, and safeguard the technical architecture of our cloud‑based identity and authentication services. You will work hands-on with backend, frontend, mobile, DevOps, database, and QA teams to ensure the platform is secure, scalable, performant, well‑designed, and implemented according to best practices.

This is a deeply technical role. You will design system components, review code and implementations, define APIs and integration patterns, guide performance optimization, influence technology choices, and ensure our architecture supports the demands of enterprise‑grade SaaS. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, Designers, Engineering Managers, QC Leads, Pre‑Sales, Professional Services, and executive leadership including the CTO.

What you will do:

Architecture, Design & Technical Leadership

• Define and evolve the end‑to‑end architecture for the TrustX SaaS platform, covering frontend, backend, mobile, data, and cloud infrastructure.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, performant system designs, including APIs, service boundaries, data models, integration patterns, and deployment architectures.
• Partner with developers to guide implementation approaches, validate design assumptions, and ensure delivery aligns with architectural intent.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and architectural assessments to ensure quality and consistency across teams.
• Own and maintain architectural artifacts including diagrams, decision records, patterns, and guidelines.
• Lead performance analysis and tuning efforts across backend services, frontend flows, databases, API traffic patterns, and cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in P1 incident management

· Drive post incident reviews and follow‑through on corrective actions (bugs, tests, observability, process).

What you have:

• 10+ years designing and building enterprise‑class software, with at least 3+ years in an architect or senior technical lead role.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, API design, and cloud‑native architecture.
• Strong experience with Java ecosystems (Spring Boot, Spring Framework, REST APIs, Hibernate, JVM performance considerations).
• Excellent command of AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.) or equivalent cloud providers.
• Experience designing for:
  • Security (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, TLS, secrets management)
  • Scalability (horizontal scaling, caching, load balancing)
  • Performance (profiling, tuning, async patterns)
  • Reliability (circuit breakers, retries, idempotency)
  • Observability (logs, metrics, tracing; Prometheus/Grafana/OpenTelemetry)
• Ability to evaluate and compare technologies, frameworks, and architectural approaches with clear reasoning.
• Strong communication skills - able to explain complex technical concepts to both engineers and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Computer Science/Engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• Background in identity, authentication, biometrics, cryptography, or fraud prevention.
• Experience with telephony, voice biometrics, or multi‑channel communications platforms.
