Title: Salesforce Solution Architect (Marketing Cloud & Data Cloud)

We are looking for a senior Salesforce Solution Architect with strong experience across Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud to join a large, on-site delivery program for a major university.

This is a contract opportunity with an immediate start, running through to September, working as part of a sizeable, collaborative delivery team.

The role is based in Sydney, with 2–3 days per week on site in Macquarie Park.

About the role:

In this role, you will take ownership of the solution architecture and technical direction for Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud across multiple workstreams. You will work closely with delivery teams, project managers, and client stakeholders to ensure solutions are well designed, secure, scalable, and aligned to business outcomes.

You will also play a key leadership role, overseeing teams, reviewing designs, and supporting delivery from design through to build.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and co-design Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud solution architecture across projects
• Define and maintain architectural principles, patterns, and standards
• Ensure solutions align with business objectives, non-functional requirements, and technology roadmaps
• Review solution designs and provide technical guidance to delivery teams
• Support sprint planning, estimation, and delivery planning activities
• Work closely with project managers and senior stakeholders on delivery outcomes
• Track and manage risks, issues, and dependencies through to resolution
• Support build readiness, including data modelling, security considerations, and documentation
• Provide technical and functional support during the build phase
• Measure delivery progress and contribute to continuous improvement of execution practices
• Mobilise Salesforce development and testing teams as required

About you:

• Strong experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect, ideally with Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud
• Proven experience leading and overseeing delivery teams in complex environments
• Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with both technical teams and senior stakeholders
• Experience in large enterprise or consulting environments
• Education or university sector experience is a strong advantage, but not essential
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
• Able to work on site in Macquarie Park 2–3 days per week
