Summary

The Senior Business Consultant is expected to lead the requirements gathering and requirements management processes. Using a variety of standard requirements gathering techniques the Sr. Business Consultant will be expected to elicit requirements and subsequently manage these requirements through the entire project lifecycle.

This position will be expected to be able to plan their time and work with the extended project team to ensure the delivery of the solution within agreed project deadlines. The Snr. Business Consultant will be expected to communicate scope changes to the client, manage their expectations and assist them in defect management.

This position will be expected to contribute to the industry best practice standards and to input to the continuous improvement of these standards within FINEOS. When necessary, recommend changes to business processes to reflect lessons learned from project experience. Over time the Senior Business Consultant expected to become a FINEOS product expert and lead the client in configuring the FINEOS product to its best advantage.


Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Manage and coordinate required requirement sessions and documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate required workshops with clients.
  • Communicate the client’s requirements to all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate FINEOS product to client including application functionalities and the functionality of the different lines of business.
  • Formulate recommendations and solutions with attention to a client’s wishes.
  • Manage client’s expectations of the FINEOS delivery.
  • Establish and adhere to a project configuration management strategy that is in line with the FINEOS best practice configuration management process.
  • Ensure all client solutions are scalable for further versions or additional lines of business.
  • Work with FINEOS teams to ensure successful and timely delivery of solution.
  • Work with the project manager to estimate and plan project implementation.
  • Advise best practice and escalate risks to key project stakeholders.
  • Assist in developing and refining best practices among FINEOS Product Consultancy.
  • Provide product feedback and detail measurable opportunities for improvement.
  • Share knowledge, influence, and provide direction to others within the Product Consultancy Practice by pro-actively providing information out to the wider group.
  • Participate in internal or external communities which have an emphasis on skills or knowledge which are directly relevant to the Product Consultancy Practice.
  • Assist sales with potential client presentations.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.


Education and/or Experience

  • Multiple years’ (3-5) experience as a Business Analyst / Consultant
  • Degree in business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • An understanding of the Insurance Claims market and Absence Management
  • Multiple project experience implementing enterprise software within the Insurance Industry


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Expert skill set in at least one of the advanced skills in the other core Business Consultancy such as Competencies of Business Analysis, Configuration Ability, Business Knowledge, Agile implementation and/or Business Architecture
  • Proven ability in client management and consultancy skills
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven delivery of high-quality project artifacts to both client’s and internal audiences.
  • Ability to confidently deliver high quality oral presentations which display business expertise.
  • Ability to analyze and articulate complex business problems within a concise manner.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools to enhance work processes and support informed decision-making is essential, with strict adherence to the organisation’s security, data protection, and ethical use policies.


Language Skills

Ability to speak the English language proficiently, both verbally and in writing.


Travel Requirements

• This position may require up to 20% travel based on business need

  • Travel and fieldwork, including international travel may be required. Therefore, employee must possess, or be able to acquire a valid passport.
