Are you a data-driven supply chain professional ready to make an impact? Our client is seeking an experienced Inventory Analyst to drive demand forecasting, optimise inventory levels, and support strategic supply chain decisions.

About the Role:

You will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager and partner with teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Suppliers. Your role will ensure inventory levels are optimised, demand is accurately predicted, and customer service goals are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine historical sales data, market patterns, seasonal fluctuations, and promotional campaigns to produce reliable demand forecasts.
  • Transform sales and marketing strategies into precise item-level demand plans.
  • Track inventory positions, including safety stock and slow-moving products, to maintain efficiency.
  • Facilitate the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings and lead the demand review process.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align forecasts with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Measure and report forecast accuracy using KPIs such as MAPE and forecast bias.
  • Highlight potential risks, deviations, and improvement opportunities, and suggest corrective measures.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of forecasting systems, processes, and tools.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5–7 years of experience in inventory management, demand planning, or supply planning.
  • Deep understanding of forecasting methods and data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience managing suppliers with long lead times and complex logistics networks.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and inventory planning software.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.

Desirable:

  • Background and Experience in manufacturing, building products, or wholesale distribution
  • Exposure to S&OP processes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Formal qualifications or training in supply chain or demand planning
