Driving smarter investment decisions sits at the heart of this role, shaping how resources are prioritised and deployed across the business. Partnering with teams across CarTrawler, you’ll bring a clear financial lens to strategic initiatives, ensuring decisions are grounded in robust analysis and focused on long-term value. This is an opportunity to embed a consistent, data-driven approach to ROI while influencing high-impact projects across a global organisation. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll combine analytical rigour with commercial insight to guide decision-making and unlock growth. What you’ll do as a Finance Business Partner
  • Develop and own a consistent investment appraisal framework, enabling clear evaluation of ROI, payback, risk and capital allocation decisions
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to assess the financial viability of strategic initiatives, providing insight, challenge and guidance
  • Embed a strong ROI mindset across the business, supporting prioritisation of projects with the greatest financial impact
  • Implement in-life tracking of investments, monitoring performance against expectations and identifying risks or opportunities early
  • Provide clear, data-driven analysis and recommendations to inform planning cycles, including annual budgets and reforecasts
  • Collaborate with Customer and other teams to analyse key cost drivers, identify trends and support actions that improve financial performance


What you’ll bring to the team
  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience in commercial finance or business partnering
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate investments, interpret complex data and translate insights into clear actions
  • Proven ability to influence decision-making through robust analysis, sound judgement and constructive challenge
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience building effective relationships across Finance and non-Finance teams
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to a range of audiences
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, ownership and the ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
