What You'll Do:
Apply machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision techniques to identity document analysis, authentication, and fraud detection:
- Design & implement document-based algorithms for use in digital onboarding & identity authentication solutions
- Create solutions to perform identity document authentication, detect tampered documents, & prevent document fraud
- Develop identity document processing algorithms using foundation models or traditional machine learning, image processing & computer vision depending on deployment constraints
- Prototype proof-of-concepts, then develop them into full production-ready solutions
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to deploy algorithms into production and manage long-term improvements
- Develop algorithm components for cloud, server, and mobile deployment environments
- Test, evaluate, and configure identity document processing and analysis solutions
- Apply your knowledge in document validation, document capture, computer vision, & image processing
Skills & Experience Desired:
- Passionate about applying machine learning and computer vision to real-world document and identity problems
- Experience developing and evaluating advanced machine learning and computer vision algorithms
- Strong traditional machine learning and computer vision background (experience applying these techniques to document processing is a bonus)
- Strong proficiency with modern deep learning frameworks and foundation models
- Experience in low-resourced domains, transfer learning or using unsupervised/lightly supervised learning techniques
- Strong Python skills for research and application development; C++ experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of image processing libraries & toolkits
- Competency in using AI-driven development tools to accelerate the computer vision R&D lifecycle.
- Commercial experience with document capture & validation is a plus
- Experience in data curation, annotation, and synthetic training data generation
- A quick learner with strong mathematical aptitude
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively within an existing international team are essential
What You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, a mathematics-related field, or equivalent
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and spoken English
