About Solidroad

Building something great is addictive. It's like discovering your favorite TV show mid-season, except you're helping write the next episode. It's like unboxing a new gadget, except you're the one designing it. You shape how it feels, how it works, and how people react when they use it.

At Solidroad we're solving a big, messy, exciting problem: how do you scale customer support without losing what makes humans amazing? Warmth, empathy, intuition. We're using AI, generative tech, and real-time simulations to make this happen. It's ambitious, difficult, and genuinely new.

About The Role

We're looking for a Founder's Associate to work directly with Solidroad's founders and leadership team as we scale. This is a high-exposure, high-ownership role for someone who loves solving problems, driving execution, and operating at the center of a fast-growing company.

You'll help move the business forward by taking ownership of critical projects, coordinating across teams, improving internal systems, and helping turn company priorities into action. You'll have visibility into nearly every part of the business, from hiring and people operations to company planning, internal operations, and special projects.

The scope of the role is intentionally broad and will evolve alongside the company. Some weeks you'll be helping launch a new internal process, partnering with leadership on hiring initiatives, coordinating a company-wide project, or building systems that help the business scale more effectively. Other weeks you'll be jumping into entirely new challenges that didn't exist on Monday.

The right person is highly organized, resourceful, and energized by variety. You don't need every answer upfront, but you enjoy figuring things out and making progress quickly.

What You'll Actually Do Day-to-Day

  • Partner Closely with the Co-Founders

Act as an extension of the founders and help drive execution across the company. You'll build deep context on priorities, coordinate key initiatives, track important workstreams, and help ensure momentum doesn't stall. You'll often be the person connecting teams, surfacing issues, and helping turn decisions into action.

  • Drive Cross-Functional Projects

Own and support projects that span multiple teams and functions. This could include hiring initiatives, operational improvements, company-building efforts, internal tooling, process design, team programs, or entirely new challenges as the business evolves.

You'll bring structure to ambiguous problems, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure projects move from idea to execution.

  • Build Systems That Help the Company Scale

Identify opportunities to improve how the company operates and help implement solutions that create leverage across the organization. Whether that's improving workflows, introducing new tools, refining internal processes, or helping teams work together more effectively, you'll play a meaningful role in building the operating system of the company.

  • Support Hiring & Talent Initiatives

Partner with hiring managers and recruiting partners to help the company attract and hire exceptional talent. You'll support recruiting operations, help coordinate interview processes, and contribute to creating an excellent candidate experience.

  • Manage Immigration and Visa Logistics

Work directly with the company's immigration lawyer to track visa applications and renewals for relevant employees. Maintain timelines, documentation, and reminders so nothing lapses. Serve as the internal point of contact for employees navigating immigration processes.

  • Help Shape Employee Experience

Support onboarding, workplace operations, team programs, and company initiatives that help employees do their best work. You'll play a role in building a thoughtful, high-performing culture as the team continues to grow.

  • Support Events, Offsites, and Special Projects

Help plan and execute company events, offsites, conferences, and other initiatives that bring the team together. You'll also be someone leadership can rely on to jump into high-priority projects as new opportunities and challenges emerge.

Our Team & Culture

We're a growing team across San Francisco and Dublin, working in-office because building something ambitious means collaborating closely, solving problems together, and sharing ideas spontaneously. We're intentional about creating a culture that's mature, supportive, and fun — and this role is central to making that culture real. You'll be joining experienced founders who've done this before, alongside a tight-knit team genuinely excited about building something impactful.

We Hope You

  • Have experience in consulting, business operations, startup operations, Chief of Staff, venture, recruiting operations, people operations, or another highly cross-functional environment where you've learned how to drive execution and manage competing priorities.
  • Are highly organized and exceptionally reliable. You can manage multiple moving pieces at once and consistently follow through.
  • Enjoy solving problems in fast-moving environments. You're comfortable navigating ambiguity and figuring things out as you go.
  • Are proactive, resourceful, and biased toward action. When you see a problem, you don't wait for someone else to solve it.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Are excited by the opportunity to work closely with founders, learn how a company scales, and take on increasing responsibility over time.

The Good, the Bad, and the Honest Truth

The upside of this role is the breadth of exposure and ownership. You'll work directly with experienced founders, gain visibility into how a startup scales, and contribute to important initiatives across the business.

The challenge is that priorities move quickly, context switches are frequent, and the role requires someone who can balance structure with adaptability. You'll be asked to operate across many different areas of the company and be comfortable jumping into whatever is most important at the time.

If you're excited by variety, ownership, and helping build something from the inside, you'll probably love it.
